2024 BMA LifeTime Achievement Award
Mr. Wash Allen is President and CEO of Meta Productions, CEO and Founder of The Wash Allen Foundation and veteran radio/television broadcaster for over 55 years. Mr. Allen’s journey began as a teen DJ at WDIA in Memphis, Tennessee. His career path to Houston allowed him to work as a broadcaster at radio stations in Nashville, Detroit, Cleveland, and Washington D.C. markets. With a unique and innovative on-air delivery, he continued his broadcasting opportunities by relocating to Houston in 1969 where he joined KYOK Radio Station (1590 AM).
